LAN browsing: "The file or directory smb://192.168.0.55/ does not exist."

I try to connect to a shared directory on a WinME box.

LAN browsing works OK in so far that Konqueror will show a list of all Windows 
boxes (by IP address") and for each a directory called "SMB". Double clicking 
the SMB directory always causes an error message: "The file or directory 
smb://192.168.0.55/ does not exist.". 

What could be wrong?
