Access denied on NTFS partitions

Hi everyonYesterday, I wrote I could access my ntfs partitions, but today, I 
re-installed GNU/Linux (Mandrake 8.2). I edited the fstab file to access my 
WinNT disk. All the partitions appear, but I can't write anything on, even 
though I'm logged as root !!!!
I tried to modify the file permissions using hte properties panel in 
Konqueror, and also by using chmod, but nothing happens !!

What can I do ?
