Session restoring in 3.1

Hi,

I have trouble getting session management do what I want it to do.

I have created a session I wish to have restored on every logon.

In KControl I can choose from (free translation to English):
Restore previous (not for me)
Restore manually saved (yes, yes, but how do I manually save?) 
Start new session (not for me)

So the obvious question is: how do I manually save the session?
