qt and sql

Hello,

I have two questions about building qt with the sql modules. It's to put in a 
tutorial explaining how to build KDE 3

1) In what case one should use plugin instead of intregrated in qt ?

2) ODBC is supposed to check automatically what is your database. What happen 
if one has two databases (eg, mysql and postgresql) ? Does the choice between 
the two appears in an application using those facilities ?
