You can access DCOP methods with any scripting language. All you have to 
do is run 'dcop [ application [object [function [arg1] [arg2] [arg3] 
... ] ] ]', e.g. you can run 'dcop kmail KMailIface checkMail' to make 
KMail check for new mail.

To find out which DCOP methods are exported by which programs run kdcop 
(the DCOP browser).
