fonts in kde

Could anyone please tell me how to view korean fonts
on applications in kde3.0.1? 
It is actuallly in an app called ami, from off of the
SuSE 8.0 cd2,..and on top of that, it is using
gtk-pixbuf libraries, which i think is gnome based?.

I can view the korean fonts in Konqueror fine. This is
the first application that i have tried to run, in
another language.

Is this even a kde issue?, or x11 (i have installed
x11 korean fonts), or is it something different?
