Kevin (and everyone),

By switching my default xserver from xserver-xfree86 to xserver-svga I was able
to get KDE to launch (yay!).

My only problem now is that I get... 'interferance' sort of - if a konsole is
producing output, or as an X app opens or closes there's bits of 'interference'
on teh screen (not always where the Xapp is, sometimes on the other side of the
screen). Anyone know what this is an indication of?

Thanks,
Phil
