Just to check: you are using: "rpm -i", does this mean that you have an
old version of kdelibs-3 already on your system that you wish to
overwrite rather than removing first?  If you have no idea what I am
talking about, I recommend that you use: "rpm -Uvh" till you do.

I don't either, it might be a typo in the RPM -- this *does* happen.

So, just install arts-1.0.0 first and try it again.  Also, you need to
install qt-3.0.2 before you can install KDELibs.  

Then install KDELibs, and then KDEBase.
