KDE Neon download page: urgent need for different installation instructions (KDE ISO Image Writer won't work!)

Hello,

There's a problem with the installation instructions on the KDE Neon downloads page<https://neon.kde.org/download>. It recommends:


  *
KDE ISO Image Writer (for Linux and Windows?)
  *
ROSA Image Writer for Mac OS X (404 Not Found!)

First, it would be helpful to specify that KDE ISO Image Writer is available for both Linux and Windows, if I understand correctly.

Second, the link to ROSA Image Writer is invalid.

But that's not my main concern. KDE ISO Image Writer isn't working properly. (version 25.08.2-0zneon+24.04+noble+release+build20)

I download the ISO file and the PGP signature, but I can't create a bootable USB drive with this KDE ISO Image Writer. It returns an error message:
"Uses wrong signature" (see screenshot)
You can find all the details of this bug here<https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=511805>. (I'm not the only one who has encountered this bug. I've received confirmation from several other users.)

In short, there's only one method offered on your KDE Neon downloads page, and it doesn't work. I think you're losing a lot of new users because of this..!

While waiting for KDE ISO Image Writer to be fixed, I think you should offer some other alternatives. For example:


  *
Still using this KDE ISO Image Writer but with additional instructions<https://discuss.kde.org/t/iso-verification-issues-my-first-steps-are-difficult-and-confusing/40255/2>
  *
An ISO + PGP signature verification via the command line, followed by using another ISO writing application such as balenaEtcher or Rufus

Alternatively, we could perhaps do things completely differently. We could refine the ISO file itself, so that the verification is done automatically, like Zorin OS does.
