Support Linux New User

Greetings,

  I am a potential new Linux user, migrating from Windows 10 pro 32/64 
bit systems.  I am looking for the best solution, i.e, Mint or Plasma.  
Will be using a dual ( Win/Linux independent HD's) boot environment for 
some time.

Can you point me in the right direction for linux downloads for support 
and installation. I've visited the KDE website, Plasma looks pretty 
good, however I am talking about single desktops and laptop use.
