            Bug ID: 512926
Summary: The required resource of KDE Linux in web page is
                    under estimated.
    Classification: Websites
           Product: www.kde.org
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: KDE Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kde-www at kde.org
          Reporter: a6m1zero+kde at gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
The written support PC resource is too low for KDE Linux. As a result, the
installer is unable to run or stop in the middle.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the [Install KDE Linux /
Requirements](https://kde.org/linux/install/#requirements) in your browser.
2. Create a VM with 1GB of RAM, 6GB of storage.
3. Install KDE Linux into this VM.

OBSERVED RESULT
With 1GB of RAM, the user can not start the installer. Even after increasing
the RAM to 2GB, the installer stops in the middle due to a lack of storage
space.

In the KDE Linux install page, there is a description of the resources required
to install KDE Linux as follows:
- 1 GB of memory (more will make the system faster)
- 6 GB of storage space (more than 12 will allow for system rollbacks)

But these resources are too low, according to my test with the
kde-linux_202511270254.raw,
- 2GB of memory to run the installer.
- 8GB or 9GB of storage space for initial installation.

EXPECTED RESULT
I recommend updating the web page. The actual required resources in the updated
page are up to the technical decision of KDE.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Independent of the client platform.
