new username not updating on a forum

Hello

I've changed a forum username, in the identity hub, but the new username isn't what comes up when I log in to the forum; hasn't updated, and I didn't receive password reset email; there were things going wrong on the identity site, so I thought a password reset may help, but it's not arrived. I'm able to login to the identity hub anyway, but would much appreciate advice on how my new username can show in the forum.
