Yes, I don't understand either. The only thing I noticed is that the "parent" 
value in kdenlive.json shoud probably be set to:

"parent": "kde/kdemultimedia",

instead of

"parent": "kdemultimedia",

as in other multimedia apps like kmix, but not sure that is causing the 
problem..
