Making our apps the spotlight instead of third party apps

Hi all, if you go to http://kde.org/ at the moment there is a fairly high
spotlight for "Latest Applications" that is something that i would define as
"random apps coming from kde-apps.org".
Personally i think we should use such a important spot in our main page to
highlight our own's community apps.
Attached a patch that does so by putting one of our apps in the frontpage
every day.
Also attaching a screenshot of how it would look like.
