The problem is that when you invoke some application (like wall paper
downloading) that wants to fire up your browser, it tries to kick off
"MozillaFirefox".  To do this, it looks for a file named,
"MozillaFirefox.desktop" in the /usr/share/applications directory.  There is no
such file.  There is, however, a file named, "firefox.desktop".  How that all
really works is black magic to me.  All I know is that if I go in as  root and
link these two together, then all is fine.  Same problem with
MozillaThunderbird.
