Thanks very much for your Help ;) now i want to move onto phase 2! I was 
talking to Toma again and he was reasonably reluctant to put this ICal live 
until it works out that there will only be one source of maintenance for the 
Release Schedule, i.e. one doesn't have to update the wiki and the ICal 
separately and let either of them become out of date. 

I can understand his concerns so i did a bit of research and there might be 
a possibility that we could actually generate the Wiki Posts from the ICal file 
using the mediawiki extension 
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Calendar_(Kenyu73). Here is an 
example screenshot from my own sandbox http://twitpic.com/3ludt.  

What do you think?

This would allow the Release Schedule people to maintain the ICal only and 
have it displayable in the same format as it always has on the Wiki.
