several roles of "id" option

Hi all!

The style sheets define some individual styles, for instance "contentheader". 
i tried to use it with the "id" option in some table heders, eg. 

...
<th id="contentheader">foo</th>
...

Now the W3C Validator[1] lists this as error, cause it probably interpretates 
the "id" option as anchor[2]. 

Shall i ignore the W3C Validators output or is there a way to solve the 
problem, e.g. define idividual styles ind the scheets that can be used with 
the "class" option?
