One word: accessibility

When the fonts are too big for you, consider changing the default font size in 
your browser, because we are just using the default font size as a basis 
instead of putting xx-small everywhere. Konquerors font settings are pretty 
advanced so consider having a look there.

Colors are a matter of taste. Since I assume you are using Konqueror, please 
try "View--> Use Stylesheet". It will be possible to use the Settings dialog 
on the webpage to set a cookie with your preferred ".css" (there are 
technical problems ATM, but stay tuned ;). When the available settings do not 
satisfy your tastes, please consider writing your own ".css" and sending it 
our way, so we may include it in this system.
