koffice

My goal is to use my computer as a type writer. I am quite illiterate but attempted to follow instructions. 1st I downloaded automake, then autoconf, gcc obj-3, and then I may have run two versions in parallel, koffice 1.2 and 1.2.1. Now windows indicates I have no script engine for those files. In mean time I may have found the page I need to use which is this one? Should I uninstall what I've done, 1st ?
