kde.org design test - Update

Hi,
now the design is finally really up and working (since some hours).
In the CVS you find all parts of the design under

www/images
www/styles
www/templates

+ the testing area under
www/testing

The url is http://www.kde.org/testing/ with a currently very dumb test page.

What is allready done / is in work by me:
- - split the design in header/footer.inc's
- - create a kde_news functions which parses + displays rdf news files (mostly
stolen from the orig kde.org page)
- - testing of the design/templates/news stuff at kate.kde.org

What needs to be done:
- - Get an overview about the current website content
- - Plan the new structure for the main kde.org page (and build up a skeleton
page under www/testing)
- - fix/improve some technical issues (add more functions to functions.inc for
common use, like the kde_news function, think kde_ prefix for this functions
will avoid name clashs, make the templates more costumizable)
- - design stuff: should wait until Sebastian sends us his final design, to
disscuss about minor probs like colors/contrast can be done later, as that
will be a trivial change (same for xhtml/html conformance, that will be
easily done via fixing header/footer incs + css files if there are some
problems)
- - communication ;): talk with the maintainers of the *.kde.org pages if they
want to help with the transition to the new design after we have it ready for
common use

Rainer Endres will send a mail about that stuff in the next time, too.
