Can you make a prototype of how the main www page would look?  The 
extragear pages are clear, but it's hard to tell if it's because the 
design makes them clear, or if it's just because the relatively small 
amount of data on the pages makes them clear.

One thing I can suggest:  Make all the standard links available from the 
same place.  Move, or at least copy, the four stray links (the three on 
the upper right and the one on the bottom center) to the main navigation 
list on the left.
