Look, the background can also be black. 

But obviously it is very difficult to find a distri-independend screenshot that 
shows the default view. And some of the KDE 2.2 shots look much better than KDE 
3.x.

Same is valid for screenshots of applications. Despite of Kdevelop projects try 
very hard to make it programms look very special.
