- Running several versions of dbus should not cause an issue as dbus is
configured to operate depending on its root directory.

- Yes dbus will remain open when the application is closed. 

- Having a single dbus installation that is shared betwene all kde applications
would be insane and impossible to maintain.

- Dropping dbus would also mean dropping 90% of KDE's functionality.
