KSnapshot

Installed KDE for Windows apps--not the desktop substitute. Selected a
bunch of apps in KDE, one of them is KSnapshot.
When selected, it creates a + sign, and it is possible to make a
selection box around something, but it is impossible to
get out of this mode, by single or double clicking mouse, by single or
double entry or Enter key, or anything else I tried.
Could not exit Snapshot mode, but could not terminate the "select
rectangle" mode at all--had to restart the system.
(If there is a kill -9 in Windows, I don't know of it.) And of course,
I couldn't get to any menu to allow me to save or print
what had been highlighted.
Running Windows 8.1 64-bit with all upgrades.
Is there any way to make this work?
