I just found an easy workaround.  Open the following files 
c:\ProgramData\KDE\share\apps\ktouch\qml\TrainingLine.qml
c:\ProgramData\KDE\share\apps\ktouch\qml\TrainingWidget.qml

and replace all occurances of
  BasePixelSize
with
  BasePixelSize * 3

to get a much better look :-)
