I agree. Never tried kmail on Windows, but more KDE-Windows worked 6~8 
months ago than work now. Just dump the present
version and go back to the one that somewhat worked. ( I still have that 
one on my Win 7 machine; when I tried the latest one
on the new Win8 distro, phaggghhh!)
