Fresh emerge problems

Hi,

I've been a bit non-involved for some time and am now resetting my KDE
installation.

I run into problems pretty early: I cannot compile Qt.

I know it is not doable to do a completely fresh emerge regularly
(e.g. remove the KDEROOT except for etc/kdesettings.bat and the emerge
folder). but there seem to be several problems with the compilation
'startup'. Maybe a point also for the Windows sprint?
