Try to alt-tab for an error window hidden behind Amarok's splash
screen, something's probably there. Or edit
c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\.kde\share\config\amarokrc (or
similar, depending on OS) and set

Show Splashscreen=false

under [General Options]

Even if you do manage to run it, you won't see icons though. I don't
know where they are...
