Firstly - Plasma desktop shell isn't finished yet. It lacks system tray, 
tasklist plasmoid and is rather unstable. If you want to try that out - go to 
your KDE installation directory and inside /bin directory you'll find the 
plasma-desktop.exe. Doubleclick on it to run plasma shell alongside with the 
standard Windows Explorer shell. Youll see for yourself that it'sfar from 
stable and complete.
Drop a mail here if, after that, you still would like to switch your Explorer 
shell to Plasma shell.
