I know it is not a correct fix. But then there are two ways to fix: do nothing and tell everybody to deal with it or apply a temporary patch until there is time to properly fix it. Then everybody can at least use the stuff. 

Leaving something completely unuse-able should not be what we want I think and the amount of proper bugs is too big already to spend more time on something that can be mended so easily for the time being.

Someone who added the WITH_PREFIX thing didn't add it just because of fun. Maybe it was by accident but maybe it was needed somehow!

But do what you want - I don't care much about it.
