kde4d.exe crashs everytime

Which release are you using ?  In case of 4.0.83 and msvc you can try to 
apply the following patch 
http://www.winkde.org/pub/kde/ports/win32/patches/unstable/4.0.83/kdebase-runtime-msvc-4.0.83-patch.zip.  



Stop all kde process by running 

kdeinit4 --terminate

on a command line and then unpack the archive in the kde install root.
