beginner questions about emerge

Hello,

I'm still trying to get 'emerge qt' to work.  It is getting further with the
latest version of emerge from svn, but it stops at the following error:

    ...

    Include paths...............c:/kderoot/include
    Additional libraries........-Lc:/kderoot/lib
    Running syncqt...
    Can't find syncqt on PATH.
    Creating qmake...
    execute: File or path is not found (mingw32-make)
    execute: File or path is not found (mingw32-make)
    Cleaning qmake failed, return code -1

    emerge fatal error: qt configure failed
    emerge fatal error: running python c:\kderoot\emerge\portage\libs\qt\qt-
4.3.3.20
    071206.py compile

I found a syncqt.bat in C:\kderoot\tmp\qt-
4.3.3.20071206\work\qt-win-opensource-src-4.3.3-mingw\bin\.
...is that what it is trying to run?  I'm not sure where that is put in the
PATH - should I be putting it in the PATH variable myself?
