The Kolab community is building a Kontact enterprise4 for Windows.
See http://www.kolab.org/roadmap.html, reading

| Kontact for Windows (enterprise4 | alpha)
| This version is in development. We expect it to be in beta end of 2008 and
| |production ready Q1 2009.

There is no public download yet for a stand-a-lone installer, but there will
be soon (planned within weeks).
So currently your best choice is to build it yourself, e.g.
using kdepim-branch from emerge.

When build correctly SMTP auth works and it is (reasonable for a beta) stable.
You need to have saslauth and openssl libraries installed for the full auth
options.

Note that http://www.kolab-konsortium.de/en/index.html offers professional
help for Kontact, if you desire it. (Full disclosure: I am the coordinator of
Kolab and KK.)
