The same reason tt won't link directly against the lib. I don't trust dbus that they stay bc - at least not for windows (when they'll ever apply all our patches, but that's another topic).
My advice is to stay away as far as you can from dbus if you don't need it.

Yes - and it works because no mem, handles or something like this are passed and used between the lib.
