Whenever I bring up the file Open dialog in my  installation (with 
kdewin-installer-gui-0.8.1-2.exe), I get two
   Windows - No Disk
   Exception Processing Message c00000013 Parameters [[hex hex hex]]

alerts accompanied by drive whirring.  Might your commit fix this?
