Now, Alex L. Spehr has previously shown interest for KTimer. But there was
nothing to do for her in time for KDE 4.1, no bugs and no mistakes had been
reported both in bugs.kde.org and ebn:
https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?product=ktimer
http://englishbreakfastnetwork.org/krazy2/reports/kde-4.x/kdeutils/ktimer/index.html
Oh, there is now one at ebn :) Who will be the quickest with a patch, she or
you?
Currently the only program in the module kdeutils known to have not found a
new maintainer is kdessh. Do you use that one or have a need for it?
I have not yet heard back from the maintainer for ark, too. But he was still
active in the 4.0 timeframe and then has started in a job, AFAIK, so he still
might come back, once things settled (being optimistic :)
Still you are free to write patches to keep ark in shape and send them in to
this list, if you are interested.
Regarding maintainerless programs in other modules of KDE I have no overview,
sorry. You could ask on kde-devel, mailinglist as well as irc channel.
Finally you do not need to be the maintainer of a program to work on it. There
are quite some programs where people collaborate. So my advice still is to
pick the program you would like to improve for yourself, get a contact to the
maintainer and start writing patches :)
Cheers
Friedrich
