could you please check out https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42023 feature request for tabbing support in the WM. After nearly 7 year of nearly nothing happening it has been filling my mailbox in the last 6 days, after someone created a respective app and another one working on something similar within GSoC. I assume it touches your work as well...
