This doesn't quite add up.

I was told that I couldn't fix certain bugs in KView -- these were
failure of the menu structure to conform to the current KDE3 standards 
because the documentation could not be changed to show the bug fixes. 
So, if the un-freeze allows those bugs to be fixed then would the
corresponding documentation be considered to be outdated?  Could the 
documentation be changed allowing the bugs to be fixed?

Since KDE4 has different GUI standards than KDE3, this isn't going to 
work in this case.  The KDE3 documentation must show the KDE3 GUI and 
the GUI would need to be changed to follow the KDE4 standards for 
'trunk' and the KDE4 documentation should show that.
