Errors in setting up development environment of Telepathy

Actually when I built using kdesrc-build, I thought install directory would
be created  which would contain binary files. But there are only build and
src directories. So I thought I still need to install modules, that's why
this confusion.

Let me clear some doubts. When I built using kdesrc-build, are binaries in
/usr/bin affected ? Or there is something missing in the steps that I
followed.
