plugins from filters branch first impressions

Dear All,

I have braved myself to try the filters plugins branch... 
Here are my finding on the issue.

1. Image Preview works.

would be nice if the user will have the option to hide/show the picture in 
addition to the current open it in the browser when one clicks on it.
2. Latex plugin... nice try but far from great... 
It works only with latex (so if you are prefer lualatex,xelatex) you are out 
of lack... to solve this one shall have few components configurable:
 * the command 
 * the preamble part.
for the test phase I also suggest to have all the output appended to some file 
~/.ktp-latex.debug
3. pipes... I did not test it
4. Text to speech... It works great.
5. Word replace... it did not work for me... for a reason I could not 
determine. 
6. Youtube Preview... it is a no go for me... Once I paste a link i get two 
flashing rectangles of the youtube video and then text-ui becomes unusable.
7. the highlight plugin works...
