(If I may add, along with various other applications that have a system tray
icon, BitTorrent clients (e.g. ktorrent, qbittorrent, transmission), IRC
clients (e.g. Konversation, Quassel), media players (e.g. smplayer,
gnome-mplayer, vlc), so such behaviour is well known/understood by users).
