If he's on 0.2, it's probably that stupid bug where the auth handler says:
"there's a certificate channel I can handle this!" but actually can't. So the
CM just waits on the auth handler, and the auth handler sits there being
stupid.

In your accounts select "ignore SSL errors" (under advanced) and see if that
fixes it.
