Nah, if you're already a Handler, you should instead just direct the new
channel to yourself by setting preferredHandler.

The request and handle methods are intended to be used when you are NOT
a handler, to avoid the mess of implementing one. If you already have
done all that, using the request and handle API just wastes resources
(by registering another Handler on the bus etc),
pretty much.
