Ok so couple things happened in the meantime. We're moving signon-ui to a
different place and I'm pushing the patch there.

So once the patch is approved and archlinux packaging adjusted, you should have
the new signon-ui with that patch. Before that happens, you can somehow try to
test the patch from here:

I don't know if archlinux provides any easy way to try out patches tho, you're
best asking at your distro forums/support channels.
