As can be seen from the log in the forums:

WOCKY_CONNECTOR_ERROR_SESSION_FAILED (#14): Session iq response invalid

...I'm not sure exactly what that means, but it is very likely a
Telepathy/gabble bug. Is it possible to try connecting with Empathy? Make sure
you create new account in Empathy, don't use the one you already have in
Telepathy.
