I've not heard any other accounts of it, and it's not happening here.

Facebook do tend to roll out their stuff differently on different servers;
maybe they're trying something new on you guys.

Are you doing anything odd with the account like connecting to
beta.chat.facebook.com or using OAuth login or anything?

It seems like a Facebook problem that we can do nothing about. Keep us updated
though.
