This is interesting. It looks like something is blocking your startup. Do you
use "restore session on login" system setting? Also what applications do you
start on login? And what services you have in system settings -> startup and
shutdown -> service manager? Anything that does not look like it's part of KDE?

When something is blocking KDED (the whole process), everything freezes,
including the systray icons.
