--- Comment #67 from Martin Kho <lists.kho at gmail.com> ---
Hi,
@comment 66: Like people who found my google+ profile on the internet and think
lets try to contact him via chat?
As an alternative to slolely removing the module I've also tried the following
'workaround':
1. Removed "org.freedesktop.Telepathy.Client.KTp.KdedIntegrationModule.service"
from "/usr/share/dbus-1/services"
2. Put the command "/usr/bin/dbus-send --session --type=method_call
--dest=org.kde.kded /kded org.kde.kded.loadModule
string:"kded_ktp_integration_module"" in a KDE startup script. (System Settings
-> Startup and Shutdown -> Autostart)
ktp connects immediately (no 20 seconds delay), No temporary freezes/blocking
of other systemtray icons (e.g. klipper). Does this work? implement the right
features?
I hope this gives me the best of two worlds: kded integration module features
and succesful connections/online presences.
