Sorry for the missed info.

To join:
I clicked in "Join chat room", then selected Recent, selected the room, then
hit "ok".

Type of chat room:
Hipchat room.

Trying to clarify, I recorded a screencast:

If this is working in our side, probably can be something in my configuration.
