This problem has gone since commit a2686389ab6cd68f10df5e4d5a09be6c0026a235 in
ktp-kded-module

Users now can go to configure icon -- Instant Messaging Settings... -- General
-- Auto Offline, to configure whether the account(s) should go offline or not
when closing KTP contact list.
